Songs can either be purchased separately by browsing individual tracks and artists or, it seems, as themed song packs. Currently, there are roughly 300 downloadable titles populating the SingStore and, while we've been told the current line-up isn't indicative of the songs we can expect to have access to on release, it really does give a great idea of the service's potential. It might also mean the end of thrice-yearly franchise expansions at retail - although we suspect themed Blu-Ray copies of SingStar will still slip out in the name of those with broadband woes. Taking SingStore first, it really does promise to revolutionise Sony's relentless assault on your wallets, with the ability to constantly expand your SingStar roster - potentially offering near infinite longetivity. Once you've booted up the game and admired the wonderful swooshing interface, it's simply a case of punching the 'online' option, where you'll be given the choice of either visiting the SingStore or My SingStar Online, alongside a handy rundown of the latest in-game happenings, including SingStore additions and, probably, increasingly stern warnings not to get your genitals out in your videos.
